Dr. Meredith Grey: Maybe we’re not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful means recognizing what you have for what it is. Appreciating small victories. Admiring the struggle it takes simply to be human. Maybe we’re thankful for the familiar things we know. And maybe we’re thankful for the things we’ll never know. At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.

This is not exactly art realated. But I just cant believe the heart breaking ending of Greys season 3.
One reason why I keep watching Greys, is because of the little lessons I learn from each episode.

At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate… …

Rain City

Drew this a long time ago, on some cold rainy night. I was eating sushi alone and Somehow I never did finish the piece. Completed it just this morning, while watching 子ぎつねヘレン. It’s a good movie. Go watch it.

I’m scheduling 涙そうそう for tonight.
Yes. I enjoy watching Japanese movies. So far, いま、会いにゆきます, 誰も知らない, and クイール have all proven to be quite good.

Go watch them on dvd or something, if you can.

Just a little update May 13, 2007

On Thursday, I finally took down my works and closed my first solo show- What Makes Beautiful.
I repainted the walls and packed up my art pieces. Well, I didnt exactly want it to end so fast. But then again, I’m happy it’s over.

It’s been a bittersweet experience. It came with a lot of self doubt, yet at the same time, joy and self accomplishment. It’s a two way thing actually. Haha. Now I’m more prepared, more motivated to put up greater and better shows in (Ppst!) the near future :-)

Tonight, I attended xin’s solo show opening. It was filled with wonderfully colourful goodies!
Maki goodies

And of course, I had to get myself a makisquarepatch bag. :)

At xin's show opening

“A handmade Family” will be on display at studio Miu art window gallery till June 28th. Do pop by if you’re around the area. It’s wonderfully handcrafted and oh so happy looking!
